Creating and Using Personas to Guide Site Design
SBI-Razorfish will present a case study demonstrating how three well-defined shopping personas and scenarios were used to guide the second site redesign for a major automotive manufacturer's corporate website.

Unique features of this case study are the extensive documentation behind the persona development and utilization process, so that the audience can see how personas actually applied throughout the site development process.

Speakers: Dai Pham and Janiece Greene of SBI-Razorfish

Dai Pham is an information architect and user researcher/usability analyst at SBI-Razorfish. Across industries and sectors, Dai provides strategic and tactical insights that help clients achieve their goals of maintaining and growing their customer base by increasing product and site usability and customer satisfaction. Through user research, Dai helps clients clearly understand their users' needs so they can effectively reach and keep customers. She ensures that all SBI-Razorfish solutions meet quality standards for being useful, usable, and desirable through iterative usability testing. By keeping users involved throughout the development process, Dai has helped clients such as a major pharmaceutical company increase the marketability and usability of its websites; provided strategic direction in defining product development opportunities for clients such as Charles Schwab and Sharp Electronics; and created a best-practice research and design tool for Ford Motor Company.

As an Experience Lead, Janiece Greene brings over six years of user experience strategy and technology experience. For the past 2.5 years she has managed a cross-functional team of six, made up of designers, writers, developers, and technologists to guide the translation of the marketing and business strategy into the online user experience strategy for Ford Motor Company, a global automotive company comprised of eight distinct vehicle brands (Ford, Lincoln, Mercury, Mazda, Volvo, Jaguar, Land Rover, Aston Martin). She also plays an integral part in maintaining and growing this relationship by analyzing automotive consumer behavior, industry dynamics, secondary research, and the competitive landscape to identify new strategic opportunities. Prior to her role at SBI-Razorfish, Janiece worked at PriceWaterhouse Coopers, and Accenture. Janiece holds a B.A in Government from the University of Texas at Austin.
